“The eradication of all black men throughout our cities and schools falls under the authority of local governments and local police departments. In order to show how these entities are working together to remove all black men from the family, I had to illustrate throughout both of my books (by way of old fashion story telling), the correlation between the dissimulation of negative images of African American men in the media, with, the unlivable and hostile living conditions found throughout cities and small towns of ghetto America.

Within the pages of my books, I focus on the suppression of the black man through the eyes of fictional characters to show how the community by way of substance abuse and gang violence are conjoined to create a cesspool of self-segregation and low self-esteem: Spearheaded by the local government and manned by local police departments. All entities working together to destroy the image of African American men.

I give you, Cobwebbed Eyes and Ghetto Angels

  1. Mr, Young,we just met 25 minutes ago at the Starbucks in University Place. Thank you for your gracious comments about my dress…My name is Robert E. Franzen (Bob) and I wish you success in helping young men and women be uplift and to help empower themselves. As a father of two sons (25 and 27) I cannot know the struggles young men and women of color have to endure I do know that if my boys were forced to face those struggles I would have been incredibly angry and would do all within my power to end those struggles. I will find your books and read them. I am a product of a mother who at 17 years of age and the oldest of 13 children, was sent from her family home in Glasgow , Scotland as an indentured to a family in Tacoma (long story) as a servant for 5 years. They were a kind family, but I learned how hard life can be to people not empowered. In the few minutes we spoke and you were in the coffee shop, you made me smile and you showed such grace. I wish you well on your book tour….and I wish you succes in opening more eyes and hearts to what ‘can’ be done. Grace and Peace to you Robert, Bob
